Since its inception, Love and Care Ministries has distributed thousands of articles of clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, socks, coats, shoes, hygiene items and food. We also offer spiritual counseling, utility/rent assistance, and job support but don’t forget the small things such as (bug spray, bicycles, propane fuel, rain coats and much more.) We also care for medical and dental needs through weekly mobile medical and dental buses. What is most amazing is that 70% of all of these services are done by volunteer assistance.

Above all, Love and Care Ministries shares the love of God with each person we meet in our street ministry and individuals who walk through the doors.

The following are brief descriptions of the various ministries of Love and Care. If you would like more information regarding a specific ministry, or you would like to become a financial partner of this mission field, please contact us at Love and Care Ministries 233 Fannin Abilene, Texas or call us at 325-670-0246

Who We Serve

Love and Care Ministries began as a vision that God placed in the hearts of two men who were called to minister to the homeless of their community. God led these men to the streets, under bridges and in abandoned buildings in the city where they would find people in desperate need of unconditional love and care. With the mighty armor of prayer and twenty large cups of hot soup in hand, they hit the streets that first Sunday in January of 1995 from the back of a pick-up truck. But ministering to the homeless turned out to be only one part of God’s plan for this ministry. After a few months on the streets handing out sack lunches and ministering to the homeless God began to show these two men that there was a huge need to help the poor in their community as well. Through the provision of God and His people these men were able to provide food, clothing, dental care and spiritual guidance for the homeless and poor of Abilene.
